Bredell speaks at Kinetic event

The Minister of Local Government for the Western Cape, Anton Bredell, will address delegates at the IT Infrastructure and Broadband Summit.

Kinetic is delighted to announce that Minister Anton Bredell of the Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning Department for the Western Cape will address delegates in his opening keynote at the IT Infrastructure and Broadband Summit on 13 August 2014.

The minister's opening address will be followed by a panel discussion with Western Cape Government speakers. The government has invested heavily in broadband infrastructure in recent years and speakers will provide insight into the broadband strategies that are improving business connectivity for local organisations.

Jo-Ann Johnston, Chief Director for Strategic Initiatives for the Department of Economic Development and Tourism will be joined by Ferdie Lochner, Head of Finance and Innovation Lead for the IS & T Department from the City of Cape Town as well as speakers from SITA to take part in a panel on The Roll Out of SA Connect.

Day two of the summit will kick off with, Dr. Jasper Horrell, General Manager of Science Computing and Innovation for SKA SA, who will present a keynote on: The Square Kilometre Array: Hosting one of the world's largest science infrastructures. Day 2 of the summit will feature speakers including Dennis Mwansa the Head of IT Infrastructure for the JSE. Dennis will be joined by Angelo Clayton, IT Executive Business Partner for Pick n Pay, Vijay Naidoo the Head of IT for Appletiser and Heydon Hall, Group CIO for Regent Insurance Company. These speakers will share their views with the audience in a panel that will expand on Leadership Matters: The Best Tools to Report on Business Connectivity.

The 4th edition of the IT Infrastructure and Broadband Summit will be hosted on 13 - 14 August 2014 in Cape Town.

In addition to speaker sessions, the second day IT Infrastructure and Broadband Summit will play host to a number of workshops to be delivered by, silver sponsors, WinMagic and Riverbed amongst others. Delegates will be able to discover and compare the latest IT developments for business needs in the innovation display area where the technology developers will be on hand to discuss and exchange ideas with attendees.
